Find out where your stop valves are
Stop valves are located in a few areas in your house, there is alaways a main stop valve to shut of the mains flowing in. Always find out where this is. You can avoid serious damage by shutting this valve off in an emeregency.
Stopping Leaks
When connecting two pipes thoughter don’t forget to wrap the threads in theflon tape in order to avoid any leaks.
Toilet leaks
You can spot these by pouring coloring (for food) into the tank and watch to see if flows down into the bowl. Leaks an be diffculat to spot but they tend to waste a large amount of water in a short space of time.
